Flavor Lanes is designed around a simple privacy principle: collect less data, not more.

This Privacy Policy explains what information Flavor Lanes may collect or process, why it is used, the service providers involved, and the choices available to you.

1.Information We Process

Depending on how you use Flavor Lanes, we may process:

Account information, such as your email address and information associated with your account.
Membership information, such as trial status, membership status, subscription plan, renewal date, cancellation status, and related billing metadata.
Saved Flavor Lanes content, such as meals, recipes, pantry information, plans, preferences, or other information you choose to save to your account.
Product and technical information needed to operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the service. For limited abuse prevention, this may include limited network information used to create a one-way derived abuse-prevention identifier rather than storing that network address as the guest-offer identifier.
Contact and support messages you send through Flavor Lanes.
Email subscription and communication preferences.

Flavor Lanes is designed to avoid collecting personal information that is not reasonably needed to provide, secure, support, or improve the service.

2.Payments

Paid memberships are processed through Stripe.

Flavor Lanes does not receive or store your complete payment-card number.

Stripe processes payment information and may provide Flavor Lanes with information needed to manage your membership, such as a Stripe customer identifier, subscription plan, payment status, renewal status, cancellation status, and related billing information.

Stripe processes payment information according to its own terms and privacy practices.

3.Service Providers

Flavor Lanes uses third-party service providers to operate the service.

These currently include:

Supabase for account authentication and application data.
Netlify for website hosting, deployment, and certain website functions such as contact-form processing.
Stripe for subscription billing and payment processing.
MailerLite for requested marketing, educational, and membership-related email communications.
Resend for authentication and other transactional email delivery.

These providers may process information on behalf of Flavor Lanes as necessary to perform their services and are also subject to their own privacy practices and legal obligations.

Flavor Lanes does not give these providers permission to use personal information for unrelated Flavor Lanes advertising purposes.

4.Browser Storage and Similar Technologies

Flavor Lanes may use browser storage, cookies, or similar technologies when necessary to:

keep you signed in;
remember application settings;
maintain temporary or browser-only information;
support security and account functions; and
provide features that depend on information stored locally in your browser.

Some information may remain only in your browser unless you choose to save or synchronize it with an account-backed feature.

Clearing browser data, using another browser or device, or using private-browsing features may remove information that exists only in browser storage.

Third-party services used by Flavor Lanes may also use cookies or similar technologies when needed to provide their services.

5.How We Use Information

Flavor Lanes may use information to:

create and authenticate accounts;
provide free-trial and paid-membership access;
save and reopen user-created work;
maintain pantry, meal-planning, recipe, and related features;
manage membership and subscription status;
process payments and assist with failed payments;
send account, authentication, membership, or other operational messages;
send educational or marketing email when you have subscribed to receive it;
provide customer support;
prevent fraud, abuse, unauthorized access, or misuse of the service;
diagnose technical problems;
maintain reliability and security; and
understand whether Flavor Lanes features and customer journeys are functioning as intended.

We do not use personal information for purposes that are materially unrelated to those described here without updating this policy and providing any notice or choices required by law.

6.Advertising and Sale of Personal Information

Flavor Lanes does not sell personal information.

Flavor Lanes does not currently create personal profiles for targeted or cross-context behavioral advertising, and its launch business model does not depend on advertising companies tracking Flavor Lanes users across unrelated websites or services.

If Flavor Lanes later introduces advertising, tracking, analytics, or data-sharing practices that materially change these practices, this Privacy Policy and any legally required notice or consent mechanisms will be updated before those practices are enabled.

7.Security

Flavor Lanes uses reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards appropriate to the information it handles.

These measures may include access controls, authentication protections, encrypted connections, restricted administrative access, software and dependency maintenance, backups, logging, credential protection, monitoring, and other measures intended to protect information and maintain service reliability.

No method of storing or transmitting information over the Internet can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

8.Data Retention

Flavor Lanes retains personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy or as required for legitimate business, accounting, tax, fraud-prevention, security, dispute-resolution, or legal purposes.

In general:

Account and saved Flavor Lanes information may be retained while an account remains active.
Membership and transaction records may be retained as reasonably necessary for accounting, tax, payment, fraud-prevention, and legal purposes.
Contact and support communications may be retained while reasonably useful for providing support, resolving disputes, documenting customer requests, or improving the service.
Email subscription records may be retained as needed to manage subscription preferences and honor unsubscribe requests.
Security and technical records may be retained for a reasonable period for security, troubleshooting, fraud prevention, and system reliability.
Information contained in system backups may remain temporarily after deletion until those backups are overwritten or expire through the normal backup cycle.

When information is no longer reasonably needed, Flavor Lanes may delete, de-identify, or otherwise dispose of it.

9.Account Deletion and Privacy Requests

You may contact Flavor Lanes to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information associated with you.

Depending on where you live, applicable law may provide additional privacy rights.

Flavor Lanes may need to verify your identity before completing certain privacy requests.

Deletion requests may not require Flavor Lanes to delete information that must reasonably be retained for purposes such as payment records, tax and accounting obligations, fraud prevention, security, legal claims, or compliance with applicable law.

10.Email Preferences

Marketing and educational emails include an unsubscribe option where applicable.

You may unsubscribe from those communications at any time.

Unsubscribing from marketing or educational email does not necessarily prevent Flavor Lanes from sending communications required to operate an account or membership, including authentication messages, password-reset messages, payment notices, cancellation confirmations, security notices, or other transactional communications.

Flavor Lanes may retain limited information necessary to remember and honor an unsubscribe request.

11.Children's Privacy

Flavor Lanes is intended primarily for adult users, and account registration and paid memberships are intended for adults.

Flavor Lanes is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

If Flavor Lanes learns that personal information from a child under 13 has been collected in circumstances requiring removal, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.

12.Changes to This Policy

Flavor Lanes may update this Privacy Policy as the service, technology, or legal requirements change.

When material changes are made, the effective date at the top of this policy will be updated and additional notice will be provided when appropriate or required.
